Eberhard Büttner - Management Consultant

I studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on Automation Technology at the University of Karlsruhe, now known as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). This technical education laid the foundation for my later career in international industry.

My professional journey began at General Electric, where I gained early insight into industrial processes and global corporate structures. I later held management positions at RWE and ABB, deepening my experience in energy and automation technology. Subsequently, I joined Panasonic, where I served as CEO of a European business division. In this role, I carried full entrepreneurial responsibility - from strategic direction to operational management - covering both technical and commercial functions, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales leadership.

Through these experiences, I developed a deep understanding of how to manage complex, internationally connected organizations and what drives success in global industrial enterprises. Building on this foundation, I founded IBG Management Consulting GmbH in 2007. Since then, I have been advising technology companies seeking the optimal location for production, development, or business support in Europe and neighboring regions. I combine strategic thinking with hands-on industrial experience - working in a structured, fact-based, and results-oriented manner, always aiming to deliver actionable and sustainable outcomes.

The focus of my consulting activities is the search and selection of new locations for production or product development in Central Eastern Europe, concepts for reorganization and consolidation as well as management coaching in the development of strategies.
